Manual ManagerAfter consulting to a number of small to medium organisations it was apparant that Operations Manuals were often out of date and under utilised - usually because it was "too hard" to keep them up to date. There area number of problems with traditional paper based Operations Manuals:
Obviously, these problems could be overcome by using a browser based intranet. However, most small to medium organisations do not have the skills to author an intranet. Of course they usually do know how to use a word processor but that brings us back to the start again. Responding to these issues I developed an application called Manual Manager. The idea is to allow the users to author the pages using the word processor they are familiar with (eg MS-Word) and then to create an intranet from those pages. Manual Manager is a small standalone application - and it is free ! You may download and use the program for any purpose as long as you dont sell it. It comes with absolutely no warranty. Having said that, it has been in use for a couple of years and doesnt seem to have any bugs. Download Manual Manager (584 kb) If you like Manual Manager, please drop me a line and tell me how you are using it!
